TASMANIAN BLACKWOOD FLOATING SHELVES - Long Floating Shelves

A beautiful pair of live edge, natural Australian Hardwood floating shelves finished to the highest standard. Waiting to be hung :)
When you order, you will receive the shelf, a bracket, screws, wall plugs to suit your wall type, and a set of installation instructions. The shelf has been been pre drilled to fit the bracket pegs. The rear edge has been slotted, so the shelf hides the bracket and fits snug against your wall.
Made from solid Australian Tasmanian Blackwood wood, each piece is finished to the highest standard. We give you an option for the edge profile of the shelf, and apply a water and heat resistant, durable oil in semi-matte finish (a more natural look).
Boasting a variety of colours ranging from light golden-brown to deep brown (sometimes with a reddish tint) and occasionally showing black streaks, the timber radiates a subtle beauty that makes it irresistible to designers. Additional character is added by the grain of the wood, which can be straight or wavy with a natural lustre.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE:
Weight capacity of up to 50kg depending on wall type, the wall fixings used, bracket (s) correctly installed, your custom shelf size (particularly the depth) and actual shelf weight. Brick walls and solid timber stud attachments will carry the required weight. If you hang the shelf on plasterboard (hollow walls) using just the plasterboard fixings we provide, at least one screw should fasten into a stud.
If no studs are available, depending on the weight of the shelf and the weight you place on the shelf, some shelves may sag forward slightly. If this happens, make sure you have tightened all fixings securely, and the arrows on the bracket are facing up. You could even try and pack the underside of the bracket, (between the wall and the bracket) with matchsticks. This will angle the bracket up slightly and correct the sag. There will be a maximum of 20kgs load, including the shelf, if using just plasterboard fixings (ie: no screws fixed into a timber or steel stud)
