AMERICAN OAK - Floating Shelves
The AMERICAN WHITE OAK FLOATING SHELF range come in pre-sized lengths and widths, or can be customised to your space if you have a particular requirement.
When you order, you will receive the shelf, a floating shelf bracket and timber screws. The shelf has been been pre drilled to fit the bracket pegs. The rear edge has been slotted, so the shelf hides the bracket and fits snug against your wall.
Made from solid American White Oak wood, each piece is finished to the highest standard. We give you an option for the edge profile of the shelf, and apply a water and heat resistant, durable oil in semi-matte finish (a more natural look).
Please let us know if you would prefer a shelf without the bracket, and we will just supply the timber.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE:
Weight capacity of up to 50kg depending on wall type, correctly installation of the bracket, and actual shelf weight. Installation instructions are available in our Support section. Brick walls and solid timber/steel stud attachments will carry the required weight. If you hang the shelf on timber/steel walls, a minimum of one screw must fasten into a stud. If no studs are available, it’s up to your discretion whether or not your wall will be able to handle the weight. We don’t recommend mounting our longer and wider shelves with just plasterboard wall plugs. If sagging occurs, make sure you have tightened all fixings securely. If this fails, pack the underside of the bracket, (between the wall and the bracket) with matchsticks. This will angle the bracket up slightly and correct the sag. There will be a maximum of 20kgs load, including the shelf, if using just only plasterboard fixings (ie: no screws fixed into a timber or steel stud). Welds and Wood accept no responsibility for the installation of your shelf.
Our images of our woods are only a representation of the final piece you will receive. Please be aware that the wood may vary in grain, tone and may show natural timber features such as gum veins. We may also need to join two or more lengths of timber to reach the required width, meaning there may also be differences in tones across the shelf. We aim to minimise this by choosing similar tone timbers, but it can happen. Also, the difference in computer screen and device tones may affect the visual representation. We will try our best to accomodate your needs, however we don't accept responsibility for our wood colour not meeting your expectations.
Clean with warm soapy water. All materials are finished to the highest standard. Does not include accessories or plants in images.
